I suspect there is a lot of people out there pulling it off to option #3.

I wish they had a broader target group, so they would include offering "superheroes" like Cow and chicken, Dexter, The Tick and so on... Or the Watchmen, for that matter.

I can resist the slight urge to buy any of the existing versions, but I don't think I could resist a Tick rashguard. He's probably my all time favorite absurdist superhero.

First -- Does anyone know why these shirts mostly disappeared from the UA website?

Googling for it only turns up the Boys' apparel webpage.

    http://www.underarmour.com/shop/us/e...ayer/alter-ego

Searching on the UA website from there gets me this page:

    http://www.underarmour.com/shop/us/e...-ego-subscribe

From which I deduce a new "Man of Steel" shirt will be released soon. (Don't hesitate, UA, the movie has been released! Strike while the kryptonite is still hot!!!)

Amazon has some Alter Ego merchandise web pages, but the say, "currently unavailable"

    http://www.amazon.com/rsquo-Under-Ar.../dp/B00BMBRQO4

If a new series will be released, I hold out hope for a Captain America uniform top, and/or Punisher skull. Both would add to the LARP under my black ninja gi.

Second: In semi-related news... I discovered these at Toys R Us today while searching for a small End-of-the-School-Year surprise for my kid:

They come packaged as singles, not in a pair (why???), and run about $11 each. I immediately saw a way to enliven my office Nerf Gun Wars with feral berserker rages, but this is the kind of thing I buy with hoarded lunch money, so they will have to wait.

But: Bravo, Nerf. This was ingenious.
