Iscape, I think part of the problem is that you were trying to correct people's views on a subject that you didn't seem to have put any attempt into understanding yourself.

You posted a video and said that the instructor wasn't credited, even though he *is* named pretty much at the start of the thing. It's like you didn't even watch the video you were using as evidence.

As I said I'm not claiming hand gun experience (there are many more experienced folk on this forum in that respect and all credit to them) but i have fukd about with/ trained with the airsoft ones in the stated manner using some systema principles. So basically if I'm wrong on something please educate me.

Good question... mainly from trying to prove it was BS with my NJ instructor, first picked it up in 2002 with some guys from Birmingham coming to give us a demo, we wern't overwhelmed but saw that some of the stuff they were doing worked pretty well. Then got some more solid instruction through the Systema UK guys and Val Riaznov. 2 Mikhail seminars, a lot of trial and error with the dvd's and about 8 years practice in the following 10. So basically, bit unconventional and totally unaccredited, but once we get the club up to full steam again I welcome anyone to come and train. Also starting MMA and BJJ now (the reason why I joined these forums was to get advice on finding a good MMA club in my area).

Ninjutsu - btw my instructor is accredited in that field with 30+ years experience and plenty of pressure testing, but parted ways with the Bujinkan when he saw it turning into something well... that he didn't agree with.

Of course you can hurt people with Systema. You can even kill somebody pretty easily.

Just teach them a handgun disarm.

I don't think I've ever heard someone who practices ninjitsu actually use the word "ninjitsu" to describe their style before.
