    Well, yeah you have a very good point however, there's practical reasons why you don't baseball grip Nihonto based upon how the sword is supposed to be utilised.

    Plus, that's a shoto she's holding and very few (if any Ryu-ha I can think of, off hand) control that length of sword with two hands.
