    I.E. a cross versus a burning cross.
A regular cross such as the one that represents the church?? How many people do you suppose see that cross as a symbol of child abuse?? Anything can be demonized, should we ban everything??

No, I don't blame anyone. The winner always writes the history. I'm not going to be butthurt about it. My point was that asking people to see things from another person's perspective doesn't work in one direction only.

I'm offended when I see a gi with a big ass American flag on one shoulder and a big ass Brazilian flag on the other shoulder. Tacky as ****. Doesn't match worth a damn. Offends my sense of style.

No one here is dismissing the atrocities committed by other nations. I'm arguing that this is solely your perspective.
It is about the gi, you are trying to attach hate to an inanimate object. All I am saying is if you are going that route then all said "symbols" should be equally banned. You know for fairness and all.

Negatory. I was using jnp's own words to make a counterpoint. No butthurt.

Is it Church Dogma and ideology to abuse children?

Again there are symbols like the Swastika that are specifically linked to a specific ideology a cross in it's own is to ubiquitous.

The burning cross and swastika are specifically linked is linked to racial purity ideologies and hateful and harmful actions following that ideology.

It's not the fact that someone wearing s symbol did something terrible but that some symbols are symbols for those terrible ideologies and acts.

"He that spareth the rod hateth his son."

    Sounds like abuse to me.
