While I like the fact that they show you those nutritional facts and add how much of a certain exercise you have to do to work it of, most of the stuff they are putting up there are not really snacks.
They are shitty choices in your diet and while they are shitty and add up I don't know many people who go "how about me getting an extra big serving size of FrenchFries on top of my regular diet".... They most likely go ... well lets eat at MC-Shits instead of X and thus the over all difference is smaller. So for most those choices count against their normal diet/calorie intake and thus the little extra is not that big... but still nice to point out to the fatties where those extra Kilos/Pounds/Stone are coming from.

    So for a 200lb male...

315 burpees for a large pack of fries.

    Holy ****.

And most people have a sandwich and a soda with said fries too...

    Holy ****...

You might just spend the rest of your week paying for a junk meal.

I wonder if they in any way consider the Basil Metabolic Rate etc... cuz if I worked off every calorie of food I ate through exercise I suspect I would fucking die.

But there were studies posted that the way calories are counted (by literally burning them) is wrong because it's under an environment that supports complete combustion while your body:
    1. Takes energy to digest the food. More for proteins. Less for sugars.
    2. Takes energy to change the food's temperature (either hotter/colder)
    3. Does not use all the energy perfectly/directly.
    4. Uses some of the molecules with [stored] energy as building blocks. Amino acids/proteins are the easiest example.

It was passed around our Chemistry H class while learning about calories from food and, forgive the pun, Chembustion.

I would quote the article and source, but I don't have the article on me right now. It was on a handout that we had to give back to the teacher. However, I'm sure that a quick Google will result in similar articles.

I've taken to hard boiling a couple dozen eggs every sunday and eating them plain throughout the week instead of snacking on pre-packaged or pre-prepared foods.

I discovered that even among "healthy" options it's virtually impossible to avoid sodium, HFC and non-nutirtive additives.

I just said screw it and now I eat like a health freak. Low salt, low fat, low sugar allmost %100 "slow food" every meal.

No guilt, no poisoning myself with mysterious ingredients and it's even cheap if you do it smart!

I'll just bang everything around me until I've burnt it off.

    Sex-robot:

    **** you, burpees.
Daniel: I don't know if I know enough karate.

    Miyagi: Feeling correct.

Daniel: You sure know how to make a guy feel confident.

Miyagi: You trust the quality of what you know, not quantity.
