Gym Rules - Follow them or get smacked!

I came across this article that had a set of guideline for martial arts schools. The purpose of these rules is to reduce injuries and promote a safe training environment. Most are good, but one is rather excessive....... like Bullshido excessive.

What rules does your school follow? Any funny stories of someone breaking the rules and the eventual smack down they received?

    1) The martial arts instructor should instill in each student the proper attitude toward martial arts and self-defense. This philosophy should stress the importance of both respecting others and following the instructor's directions.

    2) The instructor should provide rules on proper conduct, practice procedures, and safety. These rules should be strictly enforced in order to reduce the number of violations.

    3) In order to avoid the possibility of a student accidentally, or intentionally, striking or kicking another student while practicing martial arts, a noncontact approach can be incorporated. In this approach, students practice only by themselves, never with a partner. Instructors can position the students at appropriate distances from one another, where they cannot come into physical contact with each other.

    4) Proper progression is important in preventing injuries. Basic skills are the basis for more advanced techniques. Students who have a good kinesthetic awareness, understand the basic tumbling techniques, and know how to fall properly will be able to participate more safely in classes that have a higher degree of risk.

    5) The instructor should provide specific supervision for activities that involve a substantial amount of risk or participants who are not old enough or have the skill or maturity level to understand the risks inherent in the activity.

    6) Due to the nature of the activity, special consideration should be given to the floor
surface. An unobstructed, properly matted area is suggested.

    7) Drills should be designed, set up, and executed in such a way as to minimize the risk of injury.

I'm pretty sure there's gotta be one somewhere about gym romance. Sensei's daughter liked me and that turned ugly pretty fast. (Her mom participated in training too)

Sometimes sticking to the rules take out the real fun in training and gym. Still, we can't help ourselves in that.

    damn cuddles

    you're jail bait son
Considered in the abstract the boxing ring is an altar of sorts, one of those legendary spaces where the laws of a nation are suspended: inside the ropes, during an officially regulated three-minute round, a man may be killed by his opponent's hands but he cannot be legally murdered. Boxing inhabits a sacred space predating civilization; or, to use D.H. Lawrence's phrase, before God was love. If it suggests a savage ceremony or a rite of atonement it also suggests the futility of such gestures. For what possible atonement is the fight waged if it must shortly be waged again... and again? The boxing match is the very image, the more terrifying for being so stylized, of mankind's collective aggression; its ongoing historical madness.

Not my fault, I was just training there. I'm innocent, I swear

Too bad that incident netted me a 30 minute round robin against everyone in the dojo. (14 students including me plus 2 instructors. 2 minutes for each person while I fought for the straight 30 minutes)

You're a kung-fu Lolita one minuit, and trying to get into the knickers of your teachers daughter the next
