This is a great conspiracy in the spirit of the Davinchi Code. Ancient prophesy, ambiguos imagry all in the context of the obese corrupted Roman Catholic church

Though being the Anti-Christ are big shoes to fill for Bendict XVI's succesor who ever he may be

    In your face Mayans!
Considered in the abstract the boxing ring is an altar of sorts, one of those legendary spaces where the laws of a nation are suspended: inside the ropes, during an officially regulated three-minute round, a man may be killed by his opponent's hands but he cannot be legally murdered. Boxing inhabits a sacred space predating civilization; or, to use D.H. Lawrence's phrase, before God was love. If it suggests a savage ceremony or a rite of atonement it also suggests the futility of such gestures. For what possible atonement is the fight waged if it must shortly be waged again... and again? The boxing match is the very image, the more terrifying for being so stylized, of mankind's collective aggression; its ongoing historical madness.

    Well...

This guy called Malachy who lived long ago had 'vision' where 'God' showed him all the Popes till the end of the RC church/World

Of coarse he did'nt just get a list of names and addresses, that would be too simple. These revelations where disguised in ambiguous imagry to protect the innocent, or some such

Nostradamus put in his ore with further ambiguous visions that seem to 'verify' the other mad/holy dude

Fast forward to now and we have the penultimate Pope 'resigning' and fueling speculation(by mad/enlightened folk) that the prophesies were all true and the next guy in the funny hat is the the Devil

St Malachy-112. Peter the Roman, who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations, and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills [i.e. Rome] will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people. The End.

Why are you blaming the Irish saint?

He was just the messenger for the big sky genie.

But, as you know living on the island of saints and heroes, the Gaels have a pretty good line to the man upstairs, so I am ready to believe this is the real deal.

    Or not. :)

Awesome! I was needing a good "end of times" conspiracy to start spouting off at the office. It has been quiet around here after the pass of the Miyan end of world!

    Thanks for the new material!

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/0...n_2679662.html

Reputable church historians and clerics have considered it a forgery since the 18th century.
Despite the fascination surrounding it, Malachy's prophecy is regarded as malarkey by church officials and scholars.
"Theologically and organizationally, the church pays no attention to this," - Father James Weiss, professor of church history, Boston College.
"For myself -- and even as a native Irishman -- the 'Prophecies of St. Malachy' are a grand old fun tale that have about as much reliability as the morning horoscope," - Dr. Thomas Groome, chair of the Department of Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry at Boston College
Thomas J. Reese, SJ, of Georgetown University, had only this to say about the buzz: "St. Malachy's prophecy is nonsense."
