review for life skills martial arts

:Baww:this (if you can call it) martial arts school is located in 2nd street hill north wilkesboro. first its price isnt bad it is 55 dollers per month for one night a week 85 for 2. but it is a rip off you go thru about 30 belts paying 35 dollers to go up one you have to buy extra equipment that you use like once. they dont teach martial arts thay teach improvised street fighting. the master claimes to have trained with the shaolin monks and has 2 or 3 different black belts but io foubt he has ever gotten to a brown belt. i spent 2 months at this school and left. the master doesnt even teach he lets higher ranking students teach. so all in all it sucks.

I note under the "Combat Jiu-Jitsu" tag, that they talk about BJJ, but I cannot find anywhere on the site where they discuss anybody's ranking.

At least it puts my concerns about whether the martial arts are at odds with a personal relationship with Jesus to rest...cant have any of that tricksy eastern thought mucking up my relationship with God.

The fact that their clientele need something to reassure them it is OK is a pretty good warning. Probably a bunch of home schoolers who want "a sport" for junior.

So, just reiterating, he received a Japanese rank [Yodan (Sic?)] in a Chinese/Japanese/Mongolian hybrid art, in the Grandmasters Chamber of the Shaolin Temple in the mystical Songshan Mountains in China. Oh, and he has also trained LEO's, security and Marines (including none other than the "hand-to-hand expert" at El Toro Marine Base). Well I'm sold.

Also, have they plagiarised the gi patch of Miyagi-Do from the Karate Kid?


*Edit: actually I think they've just amended the **** emblem (which looks like a plagiarised karate kid emblem) due to their affiliation.

I think they are equating BJJ with grappling, and trying to pass off their "secret style of the White Tiger Ching Na" as being the same as BJJ.
