Throw in some headgear, mouthpieces, and a ref, and have at it. Maybe we'd see a little less abuse and bullying if kids knew they could challenge the asshole picking on them to a school-sponsored throwdown. As far as safety and the "won't someone think of the children" factor, boxing is downright cuddly compared to what some kids go through to make weight as wrestlers.

I also did this in high school, except it happened in the basement of a costume shop and was called "karate," so everyone thought I must be all disciplined and wise and **** for doing it.
It's amazing how much people's perception of punching people in the face changes if you wear a gi while doing it.The fool thinks himself immortal,
If he hold back from battle;
But old age will grant him no truce,
Even if spears spare him. -

Crap, my older brothers did this to me on a weekly, if not daily basis growing up. You mean to tell me they were doing something wrong?
Better go find my lawyer.
Maybe instead of shooting for Zero Tolerence we allowed some of this stuff to happen we would have less problems. -

Getting punched in the head might be bad for kids, but giving kids an avenue for venting aggression instead of criminalizing kids for bringing a fucking candy cigarette or gun keychain to school really should take priority. Could also help reduce obesity.
