Some parent broke the first rule
Do not talk about fight club:
I'm all for it... needs a little protective gear and some safety supervision, but this is a great way for "differences," to be "resolved." I'm still trying to get my superior to let me put a cage in the office, but that's a different story...

Throw in some headgear, mouthpieces, and a ref, and have at it. Maybe we'd see a little less abuse and bullying if kids knew they could challenge the asshole picking on them to a school-sponsored throwdown. As far as safety and the "won't someone think of the children" factor, boxing is downright cuddly compared to what some kids go through to make weight as wrestlers.

I also did this in high school, except it happened in the basement of a costume shop and was called "karate," so everyone thought I must be all disciplined and wise and **** for doing it.
It's amazing how much people's perception of punching people in the face changes if you wear a gi while doing it.The fool thinks himself immortal,
If he hold back from battle;
But old age will grant him no truce,
Even if spears spare him.

Crap, my older brothers did this to me on a weekly, if not daily basis growing up. You mean to tell me they were doing something wrong?
Better go find my lawyer.
Maybe instead of shooting for Zero Tolerence we allowed some of this stuff to happen we would have less problems.

Isn't this just inviting another Penn State?Daniel: I don't know if I know enough karate.
Miyagi: Feeling correct.
Daniel: You sure know how to make a guy feel confident.
Miyagi: You trust the quality of what you know, not quantity.

What ever happened to the term "boys will be boys"? This is so... sad...

That brings me back to high school and duking it out with friends and acquaintances, etc. in a flurry of a NHB fun. I think schools should add different types of combative sports to the curriculum.
