Except for the rematch. Rather, rematches.
Currently the UFC's problem, it seems to me, is recruiting women who currently fight under other banners--Sara McMann, Marloes Coenen, and Cris Cyborg, for instance. These women put on good fights and could all give Ronda a run for her money. What a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable. -Xenophon's Socrates -

He didn't care when Carano was leading the way. I honestly think good, exciting fights will be far more important (especially in the long run) in building the new Women's division in the UFC. Maybe I'm naive, but I'm a fan of MMA, and I'll watch women or men fight, as long as the fights are entertaining.

But he didn't think of Carano as a fighter...just an attractive female who happened to do MMA. Rousey is the best of both worlds. I don't think Cyborg would get the same push.
Personally I think with Carmouche and Rousey both having such intriguing backstories, no matter how the fight turns out it will be good for women's mma, assuming Dana and Zuffa continue to promote and build the brand.
But, will we ever see a Women's Heavyweight division?
