Personally my relationship with my wife is founded on trust and mutual respect. So no... Definitely not...

I don't know what you guys have been smokin' but I can bake a mean blackbelt. Plus, we're used to being barefoot in the kitchen - and you're barefoot on the mat. Coincidence? I think not.

I read an article that was something like "How to get women into your grappling gym" written by a woman who participated in both BJJ and Judo. It was interesting, and was mostly about making women feel welcome, having a clean establishment, and so forth.

I think if there IS a difficulty retaining women it is not that they can do BJJ/Judo/whatever, its that the clubs they are attending are unwelcoming or uncomfortable. The fact that there is, indeed, skilled female BJJ black belts, MMA fighters, and high level Judoka seems to me to indicate that they can cut it just fine.

    edit: Here is the article.

I hope you feel appropriately bad for getting men in trouble with their girlfriends for wrestling around with the opposite sex, the most dangerous of all the sexes.

How are you supposed to feel if your girlfriend tells you she's more worried about you wrestling around with guys?

My son is already in BJJ and I was encouraging my daughter. But now that I know you can get pregnant from it, I shan't allow it!

    Means she thinks you're GHEY.

    Duh.

She's probably wearing a chas-titty belt covering her butt and wondering if slipping cialis in your morning breastmilk would be a good or a bad idea....

You should see what happens when I pull guard. I get like 100 pregnants in one night.

It then makes me want to do a male only class because we don’t want to waste time on someone who is just going to quit even though we are excited to have her and we try to take care of her and make her feel welcome.
This makes me wonder the most. He names several reasons for why women stop doing BJJ at his gym, even saying some of them have the same reasons as men (and I'm not even bringing up the discussion about how there are men that find out they're not really comfortable with grappling once they tried it) and then he states that the quitting women make him want to start a male only class, totally neglecting how there are men he wasted his time and excitement on that quit as well.

Also, reading this a second time, it sounds as if he never awarded a woman anything higher than a blue belt. Could be that he just hasn't been in the business very long, but... since there are women with higher belts than blue in BJJ it seems weird that they don't stick around long enough in HIS school.

    Oh yeah. YMAS. *dick joke*

Just step on the mat and train like everyone else, if you want it enough you'll stick around.

I don't get what the big deal is.
