    Spartan Patty Cake.

Sounds like a cute and fun game, until you realize it caused the downfall of the Persian Empire.

Football, hurling and handball...not at the same time, though that would be entertaining

For the consideration of the comitee

Considered in the abstract the boxing ring is an altar of sorts, one of those legendary spaces where the laws of a nation are suspended: inside the ropes, during an officially regulated three-minute round, a man may be killed by his opponent's hands but he cannot be legally murdered. Boxing inhabits a sacred space predating civilization; or, to use D.H. Lawrence's phrase, before God was love. If it suggests a savage ceremony or a rite of atonement it also suggests the futility of such gestures. For what possible atonement is the fight waged if it must shortly be waged again... and again? The boxing match is the very image, the more terrifying for being so stylized, of mankind's collective aggression; its ongoing historical madness.

That's how my wife describes sex with me.
And lo, Kano looked down upon the field and saw the multitudes. Amongst them were the disciples of Uesheba who were greatly vexed at his sayings. And Kano spake: "Do not be concerned with the mote in thy neighbor's eye, when verily thou hast a massive stick in thine ass".

The 10000 gallon pot - the athletes are lowered into the pot, a fire is lit beneath. last man alive wins the medal. nothing for second place. afterwards the water can be used as a tasty stock to accompany the catering at the closing ceremony

Coxless Waterboarding - the athletes are emasculated before being suspended upside down whilst "water" is poured into their sorry fucking faces to the accompaniment of Jesse Ventura screaming at them in a barely understandable pidgin version of their mother tongue. Last one to spill the beans wins!

The Karelin Krab - the athletes must survive for as long as possible in Aleksandr Karelin's boston crab. A five second bonus will be awarded for every vertebrae left intact.
