I would love to see all our police training Judo, wrestling, BJJ, boxing. In fact, would be nice to see a requirement to achieve a certain level of competency before they're allowed to serve.

To me it makes sense in Australia at least, where fist fights are relatively common but homicides with weapons are relatively low.

Danno: I was speaking to our mutual training buddy and asked "if you had an armbar from guard and someone bit you, what would you do?"

Without missing a beat "I'd break their arm" he went on though with "but wouldn't anyone the bite would surely make you arch your hips as a direct reaction!?"

Do you think one can bite his way out of a triangle?

I get a bite mark, they get a broken limb/strangled. I'm happy to make that trade.

People get their legs bitten off by sharks and still swim to the shore before they bleed to death or sometimes survive. You can fight through a human bite.

He got the job done but it's an example of where better jits would have helped a lot. He could have used less energy and controlled him more effectively. Also, if you don't hit someone while you're restraining them, you're less likely to piss off the people watching. I'd only punch if I was absolutely out of options for that reason alone.

Better get a tetanus shot too. Sensei's braces must be rusty as hell if he's been giving so much fellatio on the ground.

If the choke is in, no. Its not possible to angle the head down to bite when there's an arm and a leg under the chin. If its not in, maybe.

Uhhh... Continue to put pressure on the arm, then bite his fingers which should be right near your face if an armbar is sunk nice and deep?

Seriously, dick move that doesn't prove anything other than that you are a dick.

Whatever you choose to do don't teabag him - it could end very badly for you.

Back in my Aikido days I always rolled with my Aikido mate who also did BJJ.

He got me in an armbar.

So after I tapped out I asked him about being able to bite out of that.

He was interested in the answer too, so we tried it, I bit him as hard as I could and he squeezed harder on the armbar, GUESS WHO TAPPED FIRST AND SPENT THE REST OF THE MONTH WITH TENNIS ELBOW?!

Yeah, no, I don't think anyone can bite their way out of an armbar, Plasma's friend was probably just a nice guy who didn't want to maim anyone.
