The hood mentality is crippling disease, that attacks your nervous system. It makes you nervous of the system. Gangsters and hood rats are especially susceptible to this growth stunting mentality. The hood is where I'm from, but it's not what I am. The hood is where I'm from, but it's not what I am. --Keith David--Ice Cube

As far as I'm concerned, Batman and Bane have been thoroughly raped by Hollywood. What the franchise needs now is lees rebooting crap, and more back to the roots... -ing.
Gotta admit though... if the movie Bane wasn't an utter bumblefuck of the original Bane, I would have actually enjoyed him as a new villain.
Hope the future Batman franchise doesn't get the same treatment... -

Batman Beyond
I enjoyed HardyBane. However I never read much comic books so all I really could say was "Well that was better than the drooling retard in the Schumacher film or the badly-accented Luchador in the animated series."
Also, the Nolan trilogy was the first time I ever thought a superhero movie needed more angst. It was a series of Batman movies in which Batman was one of the least interesting characters. If they can do more with Terry and make him more relatable or have the actor not make stupid voices or something, I'd be all for it. -

I wish we'd had the Batman Beyond suit being worked on in TDKR instead of that goofy kneebrace that they showed once and forgot about. That would have let them set this up at the end-
Blake: Try under my real name. Terry McGinnis.
Later, he finds the Batcave, the platform rises, he sees the new suit, first few notes of the Batman Beyond theme play, a legion of mid-20s moviegoers **** their pants. -

Sometimes I feel that adding extra qualifiers into a story (usually for sequel reasons) makes it harder to make the movie good. Take a vaguely tolerable story like Leprechaun and put him in space or in da hood and now its 1000% stupider.
Batman, as a franchise, should be really easy (Batman kicks ass and perhaps there's some drama), but we see really awful stuff like Batman on Ice (Freeze well!). So I'm not super confident that the seemingly awesome combination of Batman + The Future will actually be any good. -
