Damn the actual list isn't showing up but the 80 mins of Judo newaz video that is probably from the 1950s that I posted in this thread alone contains a lot of above listed things.
The biggest surprise to me was the one legged X to foot locks due to it not being allowed in Judo.

Nowhere in there does it state "Combat 8 is not MMA".

And until a governing organization decides what to call it, we the people can choose to form our own opinions as to what to call it.

Oh yay, one more before i head out.

Note what i stated and what you stated; i said it doesn't call itself MMA.
Your idiotic response was, "It doesn't say it isn't."
First that isn't my claim, my claim was they don't call themselves MMA, which they don't.
The second part of your fail is context.
In that passage the founder/CEO describes how he created a "new form of fighting" where MMA fighters and boxers could compete; ergo it's not MMA.

Oh and before you even try, no, you may not quibble on about the equivocation of "form", "style" and "sport"; the author has obviously conflated them all.

I never said that was your claim. Why? Because it was mine.

No, you're trying to play with that "new style of fighting" line. Whatever the creators intent or the words he has said, assuming this isn't a misinterpretation of the author, all the creator did was create a new set of rules.

You really are a fucking moron. Go back and read what the author was trying to do. He wasn't creating new "MMA" rules. He was trying to bridge the Gap between MMA and Boxing creating a rule set that allows for fair fight between Boxers and MMA fighters. A new set of rules makes it a new sport and thus it cannot be MMA.

So because 9 ball has different rules than 8 ball it's no longer pool?

While it is still pool it isn't 8 Ball.
So while Combat 8 is still a Combat Sport/Fighting it is neither MMA or Boxing.
