    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Propaganda? Inappropriate martial arts.

Was doing some late night YouTube viewing and came across a channel called STUDYPATTERNS.

    http://www.youtube.com/user/STUDYPATTERNS?feature=watch

I watched a few of the videos and even though most of them seem to document some kind of dubious instruction or unsafe practices, there definitely is an anti-martial arts agenda there.

    **Or a fantastic troll.

Just had a quick look and no doubt in my mind it's very much about painting MA in a bad light.
Not just bad MA such as this site might do but MA as a 'thing'. Comes over like someone has had a very bad time in MA and is doing public cathartic recovery..
Its hard to listen to because of that irritating speech program narration and there was no qualification of the statements made in the video i watched and some false equivalences.

Most annoying is there's no comments allowed and you can't message the channel user unless they add you as a contact.

I saw a one that I consider legitimate criticism

But then I saw the other videos. The ones highlighting sexual assaults by martial arts teachers (as though they're truly anything other than people), and the one criticising smoke during Lion Dance performances. Guy is soapboxy and afraid of other opinions.

Also, I've never heard such a string of logical fallacies.

The whole dogfighting analogy is stupid.

Yeah that right there is legit criticism, but 13 plus mins of the same criticism..as you say soapboxy..and obsessive.

Guy is soapboxy and afraid of other opinions.
He would fit in round here..no?
A shame he's not contactable as he could learn from this place if it didn't chew him up and spit him out first.

Yeah I only watched the first minute of the video. Didn't even check to see that it's 13:29, holy crap.

My favorite was "Shaolin Child Abuse". Hide your kids, evil sifus want to dress them as monks and break sticks over them for their own sick pleasure!!!

These videos are all load of manure.

The computerized voice makes the videos extra cold and menacing.
