If I hear there was a particularly good fight I'll watch it, but both the man-drama and Sonnen's shtick have got terminally old for me.

Bound to be a terrible season, even for TUF. Jones is an outstanding fighter but frankly seems like a fairly dull person who can't really sell a television show whereas Sonnen is a mediocre fighter who can't shut the **** up and stop promoting himself for five seconds. Jones doesn't really seem to be all that interested in talking ****, so it's possible the season will consist of Sonnen gabbing off, Jones being like "whatever, man" and then a comically mismatched coach showdown with Sonnen dying from an overdose of elbows.

Only thing I can hope for is for Jones to turn to the camera post-victory and say something on the lines of "There, I fought him. Are you happy now, you fucking internet keyboard warriors?"

Was not that impressed by this lot. Thought it was kind of bad that Jones would get up on the edge and coach selected fighters that were trying to get into the house.

I was torn by that. Seemed like an unfair advantage. On the other hand, this selection process is designed to be expedient not fair; get the group to a manageable number. Also, the enthusiasm to get out there and coach was refreshing and a potential sign of good things to come. The athletic level was impressive. There was some serious mismatches so it was hard to see technical ability but is suspect this group will be a pleasant surprise technically.

I think both Sonnen and Jones will be enthusiastic coaches. Hopefully this is where the rivalry will focus its energy.

Overall I was sold on this season.

I found it interesting that man-drama and emotional back story did not translate to wins. Fighting is cold hearted that way. Producers tried their best to promote dramatic back stories. Is their any match making behind the sene to promote storylines and make sure certain guys get in house?

whenever a dude comes onto these shows and does the "i wanna provide for my kids" i automatically write him off as a deadbeat. you wanna support your kids? get a fucking job. go to night school to get some quals, get a good job, give your kids stability. you wanna be a fighter thats cool but dont bullshit about how you wanna do it to provide for your family, because being a fighter is probably one of the WORST options you could take for that.

that jamaican dude looked pretty fucking monstrous. also, the kiwi who grew up in a marijuana plantation has my firm support.

also, did anyone else chuckle at the "amateur allure" style prefight interviews, with the eye halo ****? im not sure when that became a thing that happens on tv now but every time isee it i think someone is gonna flop out a tiny dick for them to suck.

i may watch too much porn.
