The Fury MMA promotion is hosting Fury 5 at the Caloundra RSL on Friday, February 15. Doors open at 6:30pm (tickets available from the RSL).

Headlining is TUF Smashes contestant Grant Blackler in a featherweight title defence against Pat Promrangka.

Definitely rooting for Brendan and Simon in this one! Still debating whether I can get up there for it or not!

What, no love for your Coolum brethren? Ty's on the card too, AMA is all over this event! Should be a good night, hope you can make it up!

Miyagi, I'll be driving up there. Will be getting accommodation so we can roll at Coolum in the morning, then hit the beach, get a tan, show off my pecs, nahmean. I'm nominating Cualltaigh's house as a base of operations, including all Advance members. I have already shotgunned the main bedroom. Cualltaigh, where are you staying over the weekend while we're at yours?

Just kidding. You and your family should be fine, you've got a garage, right?

Seriously, though, I'll be driving up there and staying somewhere, not sure where, if need be I'll look into a back packers or motel or something, if we have a few SEQers wanting to go up, watch the fights, talk **** into the night, wake up, roll at Coolum AMA, hit the beach flexing muscles and kicking sand in wimps' faces, then return in the evening, I'll sort it. Be good if there is a BBQ involved.

Like a Throwdown, only better.

Hmm, that actually could be pretty cool, I'll have to check monetary resources, as much as I hate the sun, I do like beaches, and MMA, and you guys.

I had flash backs to that Gracie JJ black and white, whimp to warrior promo video they had done to show how the smaller man can win his woman back from the musclehead!

I'm only a muscleman for hire. I kick sand in wimp's faces and then pretend to let them beat me down in front of their woman so that they look cool. I can make anywhere between three hundred to four hundred cents in a day. Also, it's not pretend. And usually that money goes towards the hospital bills.

But yeah, the idea is fucking awesome.

Sort out your money situation, check with the ball and chain and let us know as soon as possible so I can begin organising it. If all good, we'll start a SEQ Throwdown thread.

As I've stated before we have two spare rooms if you two guys wanted to crash, though if you're getting a posse together I doubt I'll get that passed the chief.

Let me know if you need ideas for accommodation (cheap I'm assuming?). There's free public bbq's at tickle park in coolum which sits above coolum main beach (which also has the most abundant... views).
