Sandy Hook "Hoax"

9/11 was a larger and more connected failure. Things were hidden, disavowed, newly witnessed and led to two separate wars. I do not agree it was stupider, as R10, said, it was easier to buy using basic understanding of physics. Yes, there was fringe **** in the 9/11 conspiracy theories. The basics were actually partially believable if you didn't dig.

Sandy Hook "hoax" is straight up dumb. Some kids ran away from the school, sat in a driveway and an old man helped them. "OMG CONSPIRACY."

I blame Krav Maga and RBSD for building this bullshit. Oh and STFU. This forum is for conspiracies and he started a legit thread.

To be clearer ^^ thats the stuff I meant was stupider.^^ Should have been less off the cuff maybe.

The basics were actually partially believable if you didn't dig.

This is where we disagree. The fringe **** was interesting. I mean there were engineers, scientists and others, albeit not from demolitions, that were pushing the conspiracy.

And for a long while I was digging.

That alone negates stupider. The Sandy Hook **** is EXTREMELY dumb. I read two articles last night and laughed my ass off. Seriously? It would be better to blame the gun industry, see this thread http://www.bullshido.net/forums/showthread.php?t=119342 , than to claim it was the government trying to pass harsher gun legislation.

I like how the video posits whether the Medical Examiner was drunk because he seems so off. Obviously the ME is in shock from doing his job, which is something few people can even stomach.

I wonder how many people who make these garbage Youtube videos could even enter a room with 20+ brutally murdered kids blown to bits, and be the one required to lift every lifeless little arm and leg to document the cause of death.

I'm misreading you then. By 'fringe ****' I took you to mean 'daft' as in tin hat daft.

I think the degree of cynicism required to believe alot of the conspiracy stuff ( I mean the idea it was orchestrated in full knowledge of the Govt/Bush/multiple agencies etc) make it stupider. That and the persistance of theories that required even more answers than the ones they purported to challenge, in scale for me, stupider. But as the post stood as you answered it, I see what you mean. As I say a bit off the cuff.

I was digging at the engineering and demo stuff for a while and it seems to me it was verging on religous faith for some truthers.

IIRC, there were 3 or 4 different MEs on this grisly task. But, yeah, doing one autopsy on a six year old shooting victim would likely be enough to shake most people. There's no little story you can tell yourself about how (s)he deserved to be shot.

A friend who works for the coroner's office put it this way:

"You can teach anyone to clean up a car wreck, but only a handful of people in the world can routinely pick up "de-comps" (for 'decomposing').
