Jow Ga, Mizongyi & Qingping Jian

Two of my favorites is Jow Ga and Qingping Jian. But I can't help but wonder what Mizong Kung Fu's like. I heard it combines both external and internal self defense like Hung Fut or Okinawan Karate.

Interesting - where's yours from? Back in the pre-internet days, when if you didn't know anyone who practiced it, the best you could hope for is still photos in one of the MA rags, mizhong/mitsung was described as a style with a lot of twists and turns, the "lost track style". I'd never heard it described as looking like kempo.

Also not what I mean (don't worry about it). Anyway, the stuff I know is more like San shou. The forms are like punch kick throw entry. I never practiced it, just trained with somebody who did. Definitely doesn't make me an expert or even mean that he was doing authentic stuff.

The "lost track" has many "roads". I think there may be as many as ten or more.

Also, the 2006 Jet Li film "Fearless" (good movie! Lei tai fights vs Hung Ga stylists!) is about mizongquan master Huo Yuanjia, whom Shi De Yang mentions in these videos.
