EDC knife thread

Seems silly, but I use the hell out of this, so it's with me all the time. More a work knife than anything else. Key features:

• Locking blade
• thumb assist
• inexpensive
• I never have to sharpen it
• Belt clip
• Skinny, about 3/8" thick

I have a larger version, too, which has a 5-blade storage slot. Think of it as the assault version :)

I really dislike these because every time I use one, I end up pulling the blade out of it's little holding sleeve. Admittedly, this only happens when I use it as any other utility knife. When I exert heavy pressure, tasks like cutting sheetrock or caulk constantly pull the razor blade out.

I find this highly annoying and slightly dangerous.

I admit, this does happen occasionally - more so with the tactical assault version than this one. Mitigation is to use pliers to bend the top retaining clip inwards so it's nice and tight; also, don't use on drywall, the dust builds up inside the knife and makes the unfold action sluggish.

This lives in my tool belt

double barreled, so I can have a super sharp new blade, and an older blade for things like dry wall

The quick change system is good on this style of Stanley and I like the internal blabe storage in the grip
