Yep, loctite will cure that from happening. I had that issue on my CRKT, but not on teh Grip yet. I won't be taking the screws out anyway because I like the tip up carry.
I'd love to carry my black knife when wearing a kilt, but it is viewed as a dagger here in NY, so I have to make due with a folder.Last edited by DarkPhoenix; 1/23/2013 9:56am at .

My EDC right now is a SOG Trident, but when I'm out on the ranch I also carry a Silver Stag Pacific Bowie.
I really like the spring assist on the SOG and the slot in the handle for cutting cord. The latter comes in handy for cutting fishing line and other string. My only complaint about the former is that it has a safety that needs to be in the off position to open, which adds an extra step to opening the knife and counters any speed advantage of the spring assist. I prefer curved blades over tanto style blades because I find the former easier to use for skinning.
I used to have a Benchmade that I really liked, but I lost it to TSA when I was running late for a flight. I also have an S&W SWAT but have relegated that to my tool box because, as previously mentioned, it doesn't hold an edge for s#!+. -

Yes, because they do not meet the definition of a "switchblade."
Penal Code Chapter 46](11) "Switchblade knife" means any knife that has a blade that folds, closes, or retracts into the handle or sheath and that opens automatically by pressure applied to a button or other device located on the handle or opens or releases a blade from the handle or sheath by the force of gravity or by the application of centrifugal force. The term does not include a knife that has a spring, detent, or other mechanism designed to create a bias toward closure and that requires exertion applied to the blade by hand, wrist, or arm to overcome the bias toward closure and open the knife. -

Here's a pic I took for edcforums of my CQC-8:
Pardon the editing. I took it on a camera phone, all I have for taking pictures, and edited it so it wouldn't look quite as terrible.
I actually love the wave, especially on the CQC-8 because it's wave is smaller and will only catch the pocket if you REALLY want it to. I also don't mind the chisel edge since the newer CQC-8s have a V grind and only the edge is chisel which allows it the benefits of chisel style sharpening with a more controlled cut. I also sharpen my knives by hand and strop them, which I recommend EVERYBODY do, because nothing slices as well as a stropped blade.
I also carry a Victorinox Cadet in my pocket. I have a few of them and rotate colors depending on which one I feel like carrying. They're AMAZING slicers once you put your own edge on them. They're literally the sharpest knives I own, and I own a good number. Swiss Army Knives are the most underrated knives out there IMO. The steel they use is tough, super rust resistant, and takes a better edge than even my 1095 blades (carbon steel is well known for taking a GREAT edge, it's the primary steel type chosen for straight razors)."Intelligence is nothing more than discussing things with others. I'm presently dealing with EDnotC - Every Day Not Carry. Seems I forgot to grab my Ken Onion Leek this morning while getting ready for work. I've a long-standing habit of always patting my pocket when I get up from my desk, just to ensure the knife is still there.
This day cannot end soon enough. Every damn time I stand up, I have a sudden "omg, I lost my knife" reaction.
