I'm extremely excited to say the least, and I do plan on carrying it and not babying it.

Got this from my local creamery

    A bargain at only €3.99 ($5.55)

Every thing about this knife is cheap, the belt clip on the back broke after a week or two, but at that price you cant complain

It is now my EDC because if it gets lost, not a bother
Considered in the abstract the boxing ring is an altar of sorts, one of those legendary spaces where the laws of a nation are suspended: inside the ropes, during an officially regulated three-minute round, a man may be killed by his opponent's hands but he cannot be legally murdered. Boxing inhabits a sacred space predating civilization; or, to use D.H. Lawrence's phrase, before God was love. If it suggests a savage ceremony or a rite of atonement it also suggests the futility of such gestures. For what possible atonement is the fight waged if it must shortly be waged again... and again? The boxing match is the very image, the more terrifying for being so stylized, of mankind's collective aggression; its ongoing historical madness.

I think I have one from the same manufacturer, and yeah, clip broke off mine too - replaced it with a clip off of an even cheaper knife that someone gave me.

Used to have a similar Gerber that had a 58/59Rc blade as measured myself. The Buck's not as hard and you can see by the wear on the wood, it's been in my pocket for years. Still, it's kept sharp enough to shave with.

For skinning, this is like a surgical tool and is one of the early samples of a DH Russell, being the only one of dad's knives not stolen in a burglary years ago.

Below is obviously not for carry, but included to show the awesome work done on the handle. Gift from the father-in-law who's added this to our collection of native American art.

I've been thinking of making knives again. Having lost years of hard work in above mentioned burglary, it kind of took the wind from my sails.

Let me know if you do. I have a few ideas about a camping knife I'd like to see go somewhere.

i have the same model emerson. had it since 2008 and love it. i thought it was FUBAR because i gave it to a "knife sharpener" and he was confused by the chisel edge and re-ground it at the normal angle.

i recently sent it back to the factory to see what they could do, and they fixed it up for $5 plus $15 S/H. i love emerson knives!
