I played with these guys: http://capoeiraosaka.com/ Everything I did with them was Regional. Before that I trained with some people in Memphis but they disbanded a long time ago.
They're really great. When I moved to Osaka I was having a hard time deciding between joining the Capoeira group and having fun, joining a judo school and learning something completely new, and joining the Seidokaikan Hombu and basically serving penance for all the years I pretended to know karate up till then. I truly hate myself so I went for the karate and got crippled up.
I don't mind, because it shaped my character and gave me a lot of insight into Japan that I wouldn't have had otherwise, but I sometimes think if I had just played Cap instead I'd be a much happier person.
