This is the best gym in my town. GREAT instructors there, phenomenal cage fighters who train there... it's a great gym! But while it says that they offer a kickboxing class, as you can see the link there is dead. I asked and they have a woman's kickboxing fitness class in the early morning. I know that some of the coaches have MT experience and they bring that to the MMA classes they teach. But they don't have a stand alone MT class. -

Right? The quality of fighter they produce is incredible. These teachers are some legit guys. But like I said, no class that's /just/ MT. This'll be my best bet to get some stupidity knocked outta me and get working on a solid foundation for full-contact striking as opposed to trying to score points. :-/
Tho', it wouldn't hurt me to learn some groundfighting as well. -

From those options you have, I agree. Although my limited MMA experience tells me that the kind of kickboxing you might learn in an MMA class might be a bit too specific, it'll definitely help with a lot of the basics you need to work on.
Also, sorry for continuing to call you out like that... it's just that posters here have missed that one school in their town they were looking for before, so... just wanted to make sure. -

It's cool. I've been gettin' called out a lot on these boards today ( I'm home sick and playing online. :-D ), and what it seems like is that you guys have to deal with a lot of bullshit kiai ninja masters talking stupid. It's frustrating to have to wade through all that baggage, but that's the intarwebz for ya.

I dunno. Methuselah Thao and Sam Thao are fantastic martial artists and are local celebrities on the cage-fighting circuit, and it's their school. They produce a lot of good fighters, but most of their fighters are grapplers. I think that their grappling skills are better than their striking skills, but tbh, the Thaos're so flippin' good I that I can't say that they suck at striking; they're bad ass at that too. That's why I'm considering their MMA class. I just think they emphasize the ground game for their MMA instruction is all.
