    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Lookin' for a sling!

I have been trying to find a good sling for my Maadi. I have a one point sling attached to my plate carrier and I have another one that was meant for an AR, but no go. I would like to have the sling so when I go to the range, I am not walking in with plate carrier maxed out with 8 mags.

Any one have any ideas for me?

    Thanks

The first question you got to ask yourself is what do you want from the sling its self ?

Do you want something just to carry over the shoulder or, a sling which will be capable of rapid tactical use of the weapon.

Are you Mil/LEO or just a civilian shooter ? do you need to be able to transition from your rifle as a primary to an SLP ?

I would like to have it capable for rapid tactical user. I am a civilian shooter with some military background (National Guard) but I am going to be going through some tactical carbine training to try to get myself up to date on tactics and what not. Not that I will be using the training any time soon, but I would like to use it when I need. It would be nice to be able to go to a secondary if necessary (SERPA Dropleg with a SigSauer P226)

My single point that is attached to my Weesatch plate carrier is great for what it is, but I am looking for another option since I am not going to be wearing my plate carrier when going to the range.

    Thanks Dave!

Just a simple Magpul over the shoulder single point would suffice for that.

There are other types and makes obviously, some are elasticated which allow you to tighten the sling somewhat but still have enough flex to shoulder your rifle without re-adjustment.

I had one of those on my last deployment which I bought from the PX. It was ok but I eventually found that with extended use the elasticated part perished/stretched. I supposed it's about how much you're going to use it.

From a military perspective I've always tried to keep **** simple so its less likely to break and if it does it's easier to fix

Hate to necro a thread, but I've been loving a standard, 2 point sling adjusted to be pretty big. You can get it to hang on admin position as well as quickly sling it across your back, with less fumbling and bouncing around than a 3 point sling.

I just use a GI sling adjusted out, but there are quick adjust tactical 2 point slings out there.
