Ok so I was rolling last night and my coach got me in what I'll call a transitional N-S position. It wasn't a tight pin but it was definately the N-S position. I escaped in a different way. I basically Helicoptered my legs really hard and got up on my right shoulder where I could spin under to a guard position. It was really weird but seemed to work great. Anyone else ever pull something like that?
I did it because a few minutes earlier he managed to pass my guard while I was blocking his him by switching his hips real fast/hard. So the space he made that way inspired me to try it from N-S. I was really just trying to switch hips but I did it hard enough to make space where I could spin into guard.

what is he doing in the last pic? is that a submission? what is he hurting?

It cranks the entire body from the neck. Sorta like a crucifix.You say what about my rice?
