That's a smooth nirok to back take. My friend, Pat, does something similar with the nirok but he goes to an offset N/S.

The guy who showed it to me, Coach Grant Gilliam, called it that. He likes to use the Russian terms most of the time so I took him at his word.

He didn't teach you traditionally. Traditionally that move is called "This one", very similar to "This one here" but done more like "the other one". (I wish this was a joke)

    Well I had fun.

I love that throw, aesthetically. It's one of those that I practiced a lot early on, but never kept up with it. Now that I've seen this, I am inspired to work it tomorrow.

The problem I had sometimes with the roll-through is getting stuck mid-roll up on my neck. I guess I wasn't using enough forward pressure, or lacked commitment?

Love that move. My only suggestion woul be for the inverted kneebar: I would enter with the arm between the legs, not on the outside like the others.

Also for another variation, unhook your leg mid roll and you will land in a nice north south position

Ironically we call that second move "Crazy Monkey".

As for your suggestion; I agree it's just that I was trying to get them to relate to another move we had shown earlier that week. Then it dawned on me that I hadn't posted any techniques lately so I went and grabbed the camera and here we are.

Crazy Monkey...LOL. Good name for it. Better than our names...The Hunt's Point Hooker and New York Bedbug (different techniques)
