I'm going to wait 6-8 months, and then I'll buy the assault rifle I decided on last year at the price it was before the Sandy Hook tragedy.

Naw, Americans can NEVER, nor should we, rationalize small kids and death.

You'll buy a modified version of the assault riffle you want. 9/11, the Patriot Act and the formation of the TSA shows me that this will be the tipping point. Of course when the world ends tomorrow it won't matter.

I honestly wouldn't mind a bullet blocker backpack for work. But I am not going to shell out that kind of money. Oddly enough I do own a class 3 vest I probably really should wear it when working on a 2350 without an armed guard.

It is not the solstice there yet. 11:11am UTC/GMT

The Mayan Long Count does not cycle in Australia until 12-22-12, because of where the International Date Line is.

I should have stated that I've wanted a black rifle for over ten years. The tragedy in Connecticut has nothing to do with that desire other than delaying my purchase for a bit longer.

I'm also fine with the rifle being a perfectly legal semi-automatic version. As a civilian, I hardly need full auto, or even a three round burst.
