Here's an example of the ridiculousness of the run on Assault Riffles:

This gun was 600 in February and about 650-690 before the shooting. I've only been watching this style because it constantly comes back in stock.

In the last month it was 899, 999 and currently is listed at 1299.

Can't imagine this would be passed, or that it wouldn't be struck down hard if it did, but I can imagine it will be used as leverage for more restrictions.

Actually, I'm planning on moving to CT in the next month or so- to Newtown in fact. Don't suppose they'll pass anything restrictive at the town level?
Hasn't a prayer. CT is actually a fairly heavily armed state, and home to Colt, Marlin, Ruger, and Mossberg. It's a publicity stunt from an overzealous senator.
And lo, Kano looked down upon the field and saw the multitudes. Amongst them were the disciples of Uesheba who were greatly vexed at his sayings. And Kano spake: "Do not be concerned with the mote in thy neighbor's eye, when verily thou hast a massive stick in thine ass".

First little sign of relief I've seen. If you take a look on Gunbroker there are a ton of AR stripped lowers available for $200 or less. They're still running a few bucks higher than what used to be normal, but not the $600 - $700 craziness we were seeing a couple weeks ago.

I was at Bass Pro yesterday...they were completely out of pistols. They had two Mossbergs for $350.

It should be noted this is Maryland, where Dear Leader Martin O'Malley is proposing his own AWB & other gun legislation that's tougher than California & New York.

I am seriously considering moving to Tejas.

I gave up trying to get something for a reasonable price on gunbroker last week... maybe I'll give it another shot.

Yeah, you do... there's nothing more gratifying than a full auto magazine dump !

You could always bump-fire the selective fire option anyway !!

That along with the associated stigma of Ralph Severe uses them..

But those prices are fekin' mental.
