That's going to be the real impact of this whole damn thing. Gun prices will be high as hell for at least six months. No black rifles on the shelves. You won't be able to find ammo. When you do manage to find some 5.56 it'll be 50 cents per fucking round. $40 for magazines. Fucking pain in my ass.
They sell select fire weapons at Gander Mtn! Wow, Cabela's wont' be able compete!

Seriously, feel your pain. I don't own a AR based rifle, and 7.62 x39 is not exactly cheap anymore either. Plus, I like to hunt varmints and the cheap ammo is drying up as you point out.

I was in a shop in Libby, MT last week. A guy was order as many primers (for reloading) as he could. 5,000 at a time!

It's funny. I started following Arsenal because one of my wife's cousins is the keeper.

How much are you seeing 7.62x39 going for out by you? I am seeing Tula going for $11 a box at local gun shops, and Dicks doesn't carry it around me.

But I won't mah magerzeenz!!!111 Latest email from Brownells:

    "Dear Brownells Customer,

We have experienced a truly unprecedented volume of orders recently. Because your trust is most important to us, we want to assure you we are doing our very best to achieve our goal of same/next day shipping on your orders.

However, as a result of industry-wide shortage of certain products, many customers like you have ordered out of stock items and have been placed on backorder status. We are in daily contact with our key suppliers to get as much inventory as they are able to send so we can fill backorders as quickly as possible.

It is our promise to fill all backorders as quickly as possible. We will not cancel your backorder unless you specifically request us to do so. Orders will be filled and shipped based on the date they were received. We will ship backordered items as soon as inventory arrives in our warehouse. You may receive multiple shipments, but remember you only pay shipping once with Brownells.

In addition, we are developing an order update system to keep you informed on the status and anticipated delivery date of your order.

You are our #1 Priority, so please know we are doing everything possible to get your order to you as quickly as we can.

Best – Frank & Pete Brownell"

Speaking of fear, Sam, Scrapper, any CT bullies seen this yet?

    http://www.cga.ct.gov/2013/TOB/S/201...122-R00-SB.htm

    Text:
    General Assembly
    Proposed Bill No. 122

    January Session, 2013
    LCO No. 543

    Referred to Committee on JUDICIARY

    Introduced by:

    SEN. MEYER, 12th Dist.

AN ACT CONCERNING RESTRICTIONS ON GUN USE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to establish a class C felony offense, except for certain military and law enforcement personnel and certain gun clubs, for (1) any person or organization to purchase, sell, donate, transport, possess or use any gun except one made to fire a single round, (2) any person to fire a gun containing more than a single round, (3) any person or organization to receive from another state, territory or country a gun made to fire multiple rounds, or (4) any person or organization to purchase, sell, donate or possess a magazine or clip capable of holding more than one round.

    Statement of Purpose:

To reduce the use of guns for criminal purposes.
Can't imagine this would be passed, or that it wouldn't be struck down hard if it did, but I can imagine it will be used as leverage for more restrictions.

Actually, I'm planning on moving to CT in the next month or so- to Newtown in fact. Don't suppose they'll pass anything restrictive at the town level?
