    Restating Movie Plots

I found a thread on Reddit about watching Forrest Gump from Jenny's perspective, and some of the comments were about restating the plots from movies. I thought why not test the creative minds of you dorks to see if you can come up with anything good.

    I'll get us started.

No Country for Old Men is about an employee trying to track down money that was stolen by a redneck.

Forrest Gump is about an abused girl who attempts to escape her past but is constantly reminded by her mentally handicapped first love who ends up punching her boyfriend and knocking her up.

Inception is about a gang of villains illegally brainwashing and drugging a grieving son, to destroy what his father built, because a Japanese competitor paid them to.

(Now you get it so go)

Star Wars....that's been done (see: Clerks)

    How about Star Trek:

Socialists from the future build a fleet of warships to conquer space under the guise of free love and universal happiness, only to bring down the wrath of warrior races, demigods, and murderous cyborgs onto the Earth's citizens, who are unarmed and helpless unless they join Starfleet.

Meet the Parents is about a father's struggle to accept his ****-up lazy son-in-law.

Star Wars (prequels) are about an elected officials crusade to free the government from the influence of a paramilitary group of religious fanatics.

    The Devil's Advocate:

John Milton is a successful defense attorney living in the big city who doesn't realize just how much he's missing in his life until he meets his long lost son from the sticks. Now he's doing everything he can to get the one thing money just can't buy: a grandchild. Starring Charlize Theron as the small-town woman standing in his way, and Connie Nielsen as John Jr.'s soulmate.

Spiderman from the New York City sanitation department's perspective is about a vigilante jerk who costs the city thousands of man hours cleaning up his messes.

MIB is about a secret society who, without any oversight, manipulates American citizens to extort foreign refugees and profit off patenting their stolen technology.
