People kill people. Mass shooting are popular because it makes sense and it's on the public awareness. A group of defenseless people in a confined area. Any tactic that relates to that will always occur as long as people are motivated to kill.

One thing that bugs me about this is that some of my Facebook friends are so "shocked", what kind of monster does this? It's telling that people live in the bubble where "bad things happen to poor folks in far off lands and not where I live." Grow up, bad **** is occurring everyday. Child soldiers in Africa, Syria bombing Palestinian refugee camps, America drone strikes a village to get a terrorist.

Another point I think this brings up is that it shatters the illusion that we are "safe". You're not safe, someone can kick open the door right now and kill you. You're responsible for your own safety. You can really only rely on you. We've given that up for
ease and comfort.

Which brings us to another reason foreigners resent American gun owners in addition to feeling like they're the short guy in the room. It makes us happy, and they don't like us to be happy about something they can't have.

Hell yeah I have childlike enthusiasm about guns. Why wouldn't I? Guns are awesome. They're beautiful machines. John Moses Browning was such a fucking genius they named two characters after him in the bible.

Childlike enthusiasm doesn't mean irresponsible. In fact, I have more and better military experience than the three years you're so proud of. But that's only a piece of my experience. I've been shooting as long as I've been riding a bike. I still actively seek out knowledge and am learning more about guns as we speak than I ever have in my life. Why would I wear a gun with basketball shorts, you ask? Well, because I wanted to walk the dog in the summer time. Ask me a harder question.

Inside the fridge? No, on top.

Under my pillow? No, but about a three second walk from my bed.

Do I keep them loaded? Well, of course. What good are they otherwise?

Safety off? If they have a safety, it's on. Some of them don't though, like the Glock and the Sig.
