Taekwondo guy wasn't used to getting hit in the face like that. He kept checking for blood. Telltale sign.

Onassis Parungao has his own Youtube channel. Ask him.

Back when I posted his UFC fight, some people here praised his Hung-Gar technique I believe.

Sirc pointed out that he was the guy who probably replaced me for the UFC 7 spot. Personally I thought it was just a coincidence.

i see some; he hits with a bunch of palm strikes, and a couple of other things he does in terms of clinch range stuff, but none of it looks very clean, and it could just as well be from non-hung ga(r) training. basically, if someone told me the guy had studied hung ga(r) i would believe them.

    Here's his UFC fight:

My knowledge of Hung-Gar is limited to images of techniques I see on Google, but between these two videos it looks like he has a system to how he fights. If you watch the replay, you can also see how he took this guy down with a thumb strike. You can watch other videos on his channel as well, performing forms and techniques.

Not sure how I missed this. Good stuff.

Onassis and my sifu have a history, though I'm not 100% sure who trained who or if it was a mutual meetup type of thing.
Before I started training Hung ga and was Googling my sifu, a post from Onassis asking about him popped up somewhere.

I knew the name from UFC 7 which I had seen years before on VHS...so I figured the sifu was worth checking out if Onassis thought highly of him.

Onassis still trains folks up in Connecticut...I have seriously contemplated contacting him and traveling up there just to meet and talk kung fu and maybe even poke fun at "Kwoon".

I'm an idiot, only just now realizing that I already share TWO mutual friends with Onassis on Facebook (one of whom is my own sifu).
