I tried looking it up and it was a bit tricky. But its almost certainly a hybrid of kali and kuntaw (the Filipino spelling of what's usually written kuntao). This sort of thing isn't too uncommon in Filpino arts. There's one called Madja Pai, for example, that's made up of some kali style (the "Madja" part is from "Madjapahit", an old Southeast Asian empire) and kung fu (Pai, which notes some kung fu styles like "chuan" or "fist").

Ok, let me back up a bit. What does me asking for a thread to be deleted have to do with this?

It has the appearnce of a VENDETTA. You know one of those things that is discussed in the rules you have read. Remeber that part where it says avoid bias or the appearacne of vendetta? Oh wait you summarized all of that section to mean "3rd party information is valid" or something similar.

Part of why I asked to have my thread proofread was to see if it came across that way.

Yes, I paraphrased the part about 3rd party statements because that was a topic being discussed. It was obvious some felt my post looked like a vendetta, so what would be the point in quoting that part?

Wait, in the same thread didn't you intimate that your questions were answered? So you had more, went to talk to the guy and forgot? Wow.

I addressed this. I didn't really see a pretty way of going about this and decided that it would be more distasteful to do this at the same time were reconciling our differences so to speak.
