    Give Pros an Cons.
Haelig Scheiss, I'll attempt a sort-of translation without using "confidence" as a criterion.

"You suck at MA because your trainer was sub-par.

    OR

You suck at MA because you are sub-par."

In both cases, one might claim that the MA is "flawless", but if it can be detrimentally affected--either by a shitty trainer or by a shitty practitioner--can it truly be said to be flawless? Das ist ein Nein: its flaw is that it's subject to shitty people; hence flawed.

MAs, being potentially subject to shitty people, can be flawed.

People, being imperfect, can be flawed.

Therefore, both are quite capable of sucking.

Not quite sure what that will do for your confidence, but there it is.

Glad to be of such amazing help.

I'm confused. Why is the OP such a ******?

Maybe it's just a culture gap. To be honest, my grasp of Germany as a concept starts and ends with this video:

    Hello Nickolas.
I think that when a person lacks confidants in a serious manner, no matter how much training he gets he will always have this problem to some extant. However like, anything in life, the more you practice something the better you get in it. So if you are extremely insecure/afraid of conflicts for example, than practicing conflicts in a ring will accustom you a bit and might help.
Competing will simulate nicely the fear and feelings that arrows in a conflict, and by dealing with it and pushing threw, you might find out that it isn't as bad as you imagined it, giving you some knowledge and experience that will lessen the fear (is that confidence?) you might still think or know you will loose to this guy, but you also know that it can't be that bad .
What is the purpose of your question? do you train and in what?

But what is this "German steel" he spoke of and why is it so efficient for keeping silent those you've violated?

It's an old practical joke over here.
You do a silly a routine, very easy to imitate and say: now you.
the victim does the really simple routine and you just keep saying now you.
Victim will fill in the logic gap by thinking he missed something or done it wrong somehow.

Niklas is simply doing an online version of this.
