For someone criticising other people's comprehension, you are pretty unable to formulate something which is actually a question.

The notion that all methods are of equal value to achieve a given proficiency is so clearly bullshit as to be not worth discussing. Asserting it in martial arts is just a tortuous ex-post rationalisation of whatever training methods you've been socialised into.

I know I know british people have issues with comprehending their own language. But that's something I cannot help you with mate. My thread's intention is clear - pros and cons regarding both statements. Only mentally challenged, constantly drunk and inbreed brits can have issues understanding that while frequently being choked in BJJ finished you off.

Your question is both stupid and poorly phrased.
Martial Arts may or may not give you confidence. That isn't what they are for. Martial Arts should teach you to fight other people. If that makes you more confident, great, if it doesn't then that's not the fault of the martial art or the instruction. Some people are very skilled, but not particularly confident while others who are supremely unskilled have managed to acquire excessive confidence.

There are no perfect martial arts, there are no perfect instructors, and there are no perfect students.

Aside from that, adding the phrase 'give pros and cons' to the end of your statement makes it even LESS comprehensible. You haven't offered a scenario for which pros and cons can be offered, you've just written an ambiguous statement.

On your avatar, you brag with the amount of injuries you got. That says all about you, my friend.

Actually that avatar is the result of the belt whipping during my purple belt promotion. It's not an 'injury' by any stretch of the imagination. There is also no bragging going on.

OK, no, I'm actually going to give this a shot.

Let's choose some random martial art...sayyyyyyyyyyy........Kendo. No reason for choosing it, just the first one that came to mind.

So, from your mad lib we have
"If Kendo did not give you confidence, your trainer was bad, look for another one. If Kendo did not give you confidence, you did not practice well enough, kendo is flawless, you are flawed."

Do you not see how this doesn't make any sense at all? This assumes the martial art is perfect. Why would you make that assumption? Why is the martial art the only thing that is supposed to give you confidence? Are there no other underlying issues regarding one's self-esteem?

Pros and cons? For what? This isn't even a situation for which a pro or a con can be determined, it's just a mad lib that doesn't make any sense.

Niklas so far five people have told you that your supposed question is at best poorly phrased, I think thats a good indication that its your question that sucks, not our comprehension.

Also your OP was nearly impossible to comprehend...so that makes 6 now.

Side note: So thats what Kintanons avatar is, I thought it was a motorcycle accident or something. The worst I get for belt promotion is thrown be everyone in the room, belt whipping sounds worse.

If making shitty threads on bullshido didn't give you confidence, people wouldn't do it.

If you make shitty threads on bullshido, you are flawed.

    Pros and cons?
