Just out of curriosity, is it only affiliated or is it actually endorsed?
Because an endorsement from the HA would actually be kind of cool for a fight club.

I trained at a Muay Thai gym for years before finding out it was highly connected to a Biker gang.
I'd suggest joining a different gym if you know in advance. unfortunately, those were mostly the schools that could fight, so avoiding them was not an option if you wanted teh r34l. seems to be way less common now though.
