What ups all,
From motivation from Pablo Popovitch's facebook post on his page talking about the ridiculousness of the leg reaping rule in International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation's (IBJJF) competitions and how something needs to be done about the rule and changes need to be made because many people are getting wrong disqualified due to inconsistencies of reffing, etc. there has be a petition created on Change.org to gather interest in changing this rule.
The thing about this petition is:
EVERY TIME SOMEONE SIGNS THIS PETITION IS SENDS AND E-MAIL LETTER TO THE IBJJF TELLING THEM AND EXPLAINING THE PERSON DISPLEASURE WITH THE RULE. So you are not just signing some petition you are also contacting the IBJJF letting them know that the rule should be changed.
So if you agree with any of the following (or other reasons why) leg reaping SHOULD BE ALLOWED in IBJJF competitions at least at the highest levels then please sign the petition which will contact the IBJJF and also please share this all over your Facebook and Twitter account.
Here is the link. In a very short time there is almost already 100 signatures.
Doesn't take much to at least voice your opinion of the matter to others and to the IBJJF
Thank you for your time,
P.S. Honestly for me personally if the rule does not get changes soon I will not support the IBJJF competitions any longer.
Yes, I am smarter than you are.
