    post YOUR sparring footage

I liked Ignorami's thread below on his posting of himself and his sparring matches, and it bugs me when the only thing you see of FMA is drills, drills, drills. I always enjoy watching other fighters approach to the stick/blade game and am looking forward to seeing some cool matches under whatever rulesets you enjoy.

And so I will start with a few of my own....

These are taken at one of our yearly campounts, or "spar-b-que" as one of my students calls it.

A couple of notes, the footing at this site sucks, it is pretty much a combination of silt and gravel with a fine layer of pine needles on top. This limits alot of the bigger footwork and takeoffs, it also seems to be lower stances more than is usual on good footing. And these are friendly matches, not exactly DB intensity. :D

    Solo baston

Doble (and I suck at doble, and it shows)

    Daga

Enjoy! Oh and any critique or feedback is welcome, thanks!

Ok, I'll play, a little bit of humiliation is good for the soul and all.

First time doing WEKAF - about 3 weeks into training:

Same competition, losing at padded stick (Despite delicious Planza loving):

Knife sparring (terrible terrible phone camera):

Most recent vid, going super light with padded sticks:

Working on starting a new park sparring group to do some grapples, strikes and weapons, so might have some new footage soon. We've got several arnis guys (one crosstrained in MT, one in CLF, one in wing chun and DBMA), a choy li fut/tai chi guy who dabbles in longsword, and possibly a PTK/JKD/BJJ guy. Gonna put together some training weapons and get to it.

This sounds like a hell of a fun group.

Non contact live stick light sparring.

A little slow in the middle.

    Yup, I can see it.

What style of Kali do you study btw? Your footwork looks more like ours than blindside's PTK.

Base is Inosanto/LaCoste with DB, Lameco as the two major influences.

Curriculum is a mix of above with a few other styles mixed in.
