World of Kung Fu Panda

It's Orcs vs. Humans vs. The Dragon Warrior.

My time playing the ridiculous intercrack known as "WoW" is long gone (although I still hop on for a pickup CTF game now and then).

But an entire generation of dirty, smelly, basement dwelling, Red Bull snorting teens is probably waiting more for the upcoming game expansion than their first taste of the opposite sex. The implications for the downfall of society are clear.

Nonetheless, Blizzard's cinematic sequences have no equal in the history of video gaming, and the new trailer for "Mists of Pandaria" is no exception.

Featuring an amazingly familiar staff-wielding master of Pandaren kung fu, I can't imagine the kind of secret cash trade that went on between Blizzard and Dreamworks to avoid a lawsuit over this one.

Whatever the hell that all means.

A lot of South American people still play World of Warcraft, particularly in Brazil. There are both Latin American and Brazilian subregions.

If you've got a coherent response for the thread, let's see it.

I think it's all about marketing and product placement now, especially since every fat kid who wants to be a kung fu master can essentially build that character in WoW. Oh joy.

The gameplay died long ago when they realized they had a such a large, captive audience to exploit. It's been years of recycled garbage, pixel trophies, and of course, ruined social lives.

Starcraft 2 gave the RTS genre a nice kick, but I got sick of it quickly because of all the online multiplayer awards/rankings/achievement systems....more meaningless chores to make you think you're enjoying the game when you're not.

What's needed to revitalize online gaming are head-to-head deathmatches on the battlefield, and Mechwarrior Online launches in the next few months...it'll be fun to light up all the mmorpg zombies with my mad autocannon skills. "Gear" won't save them...

Sadly it'll be the former. :< I loved Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness. "STOP POKING ME!!!"

Although I will admit that the trailer was rather fun. I wonder if they'll actually develop a story based on Chinese history or if it'll all be completely fictional.

Am I the only getting sick of the trope of the enlightened kung fu master being the only representation of Chinese warrior-figures? What about the sociopathic drunken bersekers like Zhang Fei, Li Kui, and Lu Zhishen? Why can't we have more of those?
Jade Empire had one, and he was the coolest character in the game.
