    Best Advice from your Teacher

I thought it might be fun to share some of those tidbits of brilliance the masters have shared with us. Here is a piece of advise my teacher told me. Please share what your teachers gave you.

Always assume your opponent is better, faster, and knows more than you. Train hard and believe your opponent is training harder.

Mine came in stages. Early on, when I didn't apply myself, it was: 'Train harder and smarter'.
Later, when I was an advanced student, it was: 'You need to quit chasing everything with a skirt and take this **** more serious, '.
I still keep in touch with the ones that are living, they give me **** like: 'Fight with your mind, not your mouth, and you won't put yourself in a place to test your training'.

***Was this quote "taken out of context"?***

"The judoist has no time to allow himself a margin for error, especially in a situation upon which his or another person's very life depends...."
