Gus and Henderson no surprise there. I was really happy to see Henderson stay so composed and fight his fight and without assholes being able to say he ran away all night or some ****.

Henderson took Diaz's legs out the way I thought he would. Cerrone didn't do a lot right in his fight with him, but he did show that Diaz couldn't check a leg kick if you paid him to. Mostly he was just too big and too strong for Diaz, though. Couple that with his skillset, he's going to be tough to knock off.

Shogun isn't completely over the hill yet, but his days of relevance at the top are definitely over, if they weren't already. All of his fights recently look the same- start out fast and hard, get hit a lot looking for the KO, and then gas horribly and do nothing but swing wildly by the last round looking for a hail mary. He did tag Gustaffson a few times, but mostly he got beaten to the punch and his cardio didn't hold up. I'm not sure Gustaffson has anything for Jones, but I guess we'll see soon enough.

MacDonald mugged Penn pretty much exactly the way I thought he would. The significant strike count at the end of the fight was something like 30-140, I think. All the "no, really, he's ACTUALLY doing things right this time" crap from Penn's camp was just a bunch of bullshit, like anyone with two brain cells to rub together knew it was.

I'm interested to see the matchmaking coming up after this event, although the immediately obvious one(Gustaffson/Jones) doesn't really do a lot for me.

Penn vs McDonald: I actually cringed with pity at the end of Rd 2. Rory definitely let up (even started clowning) instead of finishing him off. Don't know why though, Rory was never in danger.

I think Dethrone is meant to be taken more conceptually than that. Not that brands of clothing have a lot of high intellectual meaning to them, though.

yeah i had a bit of a LOL when he was doing the splits there... bastard.

all fights went how i thought. i wish Penn would stop fucking around at 170, he even rants about how "size doesnt matter" well it obviously does when you get fucking manhandled every time you get in there.

Shogun fought how he fights all the time now, throw random big bombs, gas 2 minutes into the fight, rely on chin to ride it out. he needs to retire. gustaffson will be murdered by jones, that is an awful matchup for him, jones is basically a better version of him.

Hendo... that dude looks and fights like a superhero. i want his gay bumbabies. had to LOL at diaz doing his "what mofucker" wide hands and then getting planted, nice work "gangsta"
