Which Martial Art is right for me?

Heya

I'm about 160 pounds, work out 3-5 times a week so I'm pretty strong and fit. I've always been able to handle myself in a fight, but a month or so ago I go attacked by some travellers (If you dont live in england, their Irish Gypsy's and practice bare knuckle boxing like all the time, and never fight fair). Obviously I didn't come out of that well, as fighting against a group is hard.

I'm stronger than the majority of people my size and that reflects in my fighting style (I do a series of haymakers to the torso to weaken them, or just put them in a full nelson which to this day, only one person has got out of and he is 6 4' and I'm 5 8')

So what martial art do you think is right, based on this? If you have anymore questions feel free to ask them, as I imagine that more information will make advising me easier.

i think the best thing you could do is go to a boxing gym and try out yourbadass skills on some of their gyus, ask for some light sparring and then just go for broke. let us know how it goes.

I am trying to find the discussion on the Travellers; they fight by rule-sets when they fight each other. BTW, what do you consider a fair fight?

Just curious: in what sort of fights do you "do a series of haymakers to the torso" without weapons, rather than headhunting? Not likely in a fight where you're outnumbered. Also, how high do you have to jump in order to sink full-nelsons on adversaries, most of which--given the stats you've given--will be bigger than you (unless you're living in Lilliput)?
