My bad. Didn't actually notice that.
I'm thinking of the Koscheck, Fitch, Shields, Hardy, etc. fights. He does tend to keep the ads to a minimum on his shorts in most of them.

So you find some esoteric and very disputed "evidences" or conspiracy theories and call it THE evidence and what i say is not evidence but consensus...what kind of fallacy is this? Do you think that by trying as hard as possible to be non conformist you automatically gain some "cool points" ? BTW for a gay guy you are quiet solemn.

If you're arguing that the importation of USian and European experts was only to magnify a colonialist impulse in the Bakufu, then I won't dispute you. But there's a qualitive difference between a feudal state trying (and failing) to conquer its neighbors and an industrialized nation doing so. We were the rising stars of imperialism between 1892 and the Depression. Until then, Japan was at best a junior in the game. Putting in a good showing, undoubtedly, but only able to swing with the heavyweights (read: us) after decades of social reform and buildup.

Sorry, that should read "that had been brewing within the Bakufu and came to fruition in the Meiji government".
