Most people don't seem to realize they are in danger until it's too late.
The ones that do frequently try to spin the wrong way.
The ones that try to spin the right way he usually finishes at is if he were finishing a seio nage by digging his shoulder down on that side so that the mat acts to block their escape.
You can kind of see that in this video:
He digs his shoulder down really hard at the end. If the guy had spun around to the correct side to escape it would have thrown him over on his back the same way and he still would have gotten finished.
This is also the guy I learned the choke from indirectly. He used it on one of the guys I train with.Last edited by Kintanon; 11/15/2012 12:54am at .
