The knee around 3:10 pretty much summarizes my reservations about slipping punches.

Calling it a "slip" is pretty generous tbf. It looks like what happens when you're teaching someone in their first week of boxing how to roll under a hook.
"Don't lean, bend at the knees."
"No, don't look at the ground, look at me."

I agree, not a slip. A slip is pretty much always good (provided you want to not get punched, cut angles, or counter punch). That was a bob. a poorly executed one (if he'd been watching, could have blocked the knee with his hands after evading the punch. Anyway, bobing is really only good in a mixed ruleset if you're gonna mix it with some weaving. In straight up boxing, bobing is like an easier slip (because you go under the punch instead of sideways). I only use it when I'm sparring guys that are signifigantly taller than me and I plan to step in and counter with a body shot.

yeah you don't slip a punch by ducking your head forward, its more of a squat. But regardless, when there's kicks/knees involved you don't go to low, its inherently dangerous to bring your head closer to his weapons like that.
