I quoted his second wall of text in Post #91.

This was the first. Note the traditional salutation of "Not to be a _____ but " and the conversation being over the moment he PM'd me. Classic.

I know where you're comming from but your atacking the wrong argument for the wrong reasons with the wrong examples.

If you want to talk data, go right ahead. I defer to your wisdom and respect your opinion.

But don't try to sell me that the phone jack on a pro-mixer is for audio in or out. That is just wrong for so many reasons. You don't have to believe it but I AM one of the guys who knows those reasons, who understands that gear intimately, who can opperate it without destroying the electronics or anybodies tympanic membranes, and can make it sound soooooo fucking clean and tight. (I'm complimented every time I touch the board, baby!)

I do not think you are stupid but I do think we are talking about two different things. I'm PMing you because I don't see any point in shitting all over the forum just to be contrary when we're not even really arguing about the same gear. Seems like a waste of our brain power on both sides.

Think what you want about me, but AFAIC that conversation is over.

    Have a good one, mang!

Alright Mr. Rabbit I want to see a FIR filter designed to attenuate all the frequencies not used in the typical band of frequencies we use for phone conversations.

Only if you promise to do it all by hand no use of computers or calculators.

haha I don't even know what I am running anymore thats how old my **** is, and guess what it still works. It still does its job. My media server that is hooked up to my TV still plays movies fine and will for a long long time.

My lenovo think pad that I do most of my browsing on is powerful enough to run CAD/CAM programs, surf the internet, and still play all of the latest games.

That is right people old **** still works fine now. With the trend towards making sure everything works on mobile devices most of my old hardware will be fine for years to come.

This is why a cheap Video card works for this guy, because video card progression is ridiculous. Yet the processing power for even things like games has remains fairly stagnant in large part do to the success of the console market. If your going to dump a bunch of money into making a game it better be able to be played on the 360 and the PS3 as well.

    Yup.

I just got this little behemoth for a ridiculously good price is all. I love it to bits and pieces though. It's amazing. I love that the steelseries keyboard on this notebook actually makes the WASD keys 10% larger and moved the windows key to the right side of the keyboard to keep accidental hits to a 0. CTRL and the Space Bar are also 10% larger than the other keys.

It's pretty snazzy. The keyboard is a delight to type on.

You just described my average fall morning, drinking triple caffeinated student center coffee and scribbling notes, circa 1996 or so.

Nowadays I am actually permitted to use computers.

Of course now I can even build my own from mail order parts with love and care.

The IceQ with the huge metal sinks is my "cheap" video card.

I built this one specifically to beta test Mechwarrior Online.
