    Shut the **** up.
Do you want to elaborate on why the highlited points are terrible advice in this specific situation? Or if you just wanted to tell you don't like my post, it's done.

Know just out of curiosity, do your sensei chokes you out on a regular basis? Doesn't he stop when you tap? Is this a common judo tradition?

I'm not going to praise you or feel bad for you. You clearly saw this coming as you said multiple times. You like the drama and the shitastic people in your life. Either change your standards or don't come here looking for a handjob. You knew this would happen and you enabled it.

Happens. I had a few less than optimal roommates in my 20s which I'm guessing is your age range. Just chalk this one up to experience. I'm betting you won't room with anymore drunks.

    Good, well written, story though.
I'm 30, he's 38. I had no idea he was "a drunk", I knew he liked "a drink". Without too much extra backstory, before I moved up he managed to convince, read manipulate, me that he wasn't drinking much anymore due to educational and career reasons. I believed him and since then have forgiven countless offences against me because of his ability to convince me he was changed. As I said, more fool me and it won't happen anymore.

As a friend said recently, he's a 38 year old that looks 54 and acts 16.

I have changed the standard of people in my life, significantly. I wasn't looking for anything, other than a sounding board. Fortunately there are people on here that can offer more than "suck it up, princess, you knew this was coming", which I expected, by the way.

Look, this guy is not a bad guy, when he is not drunk he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. That was the guy I knew when I agreed to moving in with him. It's why I was hoping he would be a man of his word and do what he said he would do, get the help he needs and stop fucking his life up. I know it can be done because I fucking did it. Maybe I trust in will power of others too much because I was able to utilize mine.

"He's not a bad guy until he starts doing the thing he's addicted to doing."

Dude, don't defend him. He's a dipshit, and this is most definitely not the first time this has happened to you.

Do you mean my post? I didn't mean to say anything close to this.

Holy **** dude, you really need to seek consoling about this. This is why you keep run into the same old same old all the time. This is why people walk all over you. You can't change other people, but you can change yourself.

Honestly, go to a codependents anonymous meeting. Not that I am a psephologist and I hate this whole layman internet diagnosis **** but if I can see it from here, it is pretty damn likely.

See, good people do this ALL of the time, not when the circumstances fit the situation. People get drunk and act stupid. This is Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay beyond anything I'd call "not a bad guy."

Dude he's not a rapist until he recognizes someone is vulnerable and he can overpower them. Until then, he's a pretty cool guy. He'd totally pick you up from the airport.
